Cheesy Cheeseburger Pie


Ingredients:

1 pound lean ground beef, Cook and drain your hamburger.

1/2 cup milk

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup ketchup

1/2 cup chopped sweet onion

1 small can (6 ounces) sliced black olives, drained

1 1/2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack cheese

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley


Directions:

Combine the ground beef, milk, egg, garlic and seasoning in a bowl; blend well. Press the beef mixture evenly on the bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie plate with a uncooked crust in it. Layer with the ketchup, chopped onion, olives, and cheese. Bake in a preheated 400° oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with the parsley and cut into wedges. Serve cheeseburger pie hot.

Ingredients:

2 (16-oz.) jars dill pickle sandwich slices, drained

1 large egg

1 (12-oz.) can beer

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Vegetable oil


Directions:

Pat pickles dry with paper towels.

Whisk together egg and next 3 ingredients in a large bowl; add 1 1/2 cups flour, and whisk until smooth.

Pour oil to a depth of 1 1/2 inches into a large heavy skillet or Dutch oven; heat over medium-high heat to 375°.

Dip pickle slices into batter, allowing excess batter to drip off. Fry pickles, in batches, 3 to 4 minutes or until golden. Drain and pat dry on paper towels.
